Project Ponton- Renovation

Project description

Kitchen Renovation Flooring Painting Building

One of our biggest projects to end off 2020.

The kitchen was very outdated, with old cabinets, old countertops and space just was not working for the clients – it was separate from their dining/living area and also cut off from their outside entertainment space. We relocated the kitchen by knocking out the wall separating the scullery from their dining area/living space. We then lay new plumbing lines and electrical points. The old kitchen space was then drywalled off to create a study/knitting room which was joined to their laundry.

We then bricked up a section of the scullery window to create a wider window above the new sink location at the same time we bricked up the old front door and relocated it to lead into the living area as that would now be countertop space.

Various ceilings were repaired, skimmed, and painted while skimming and painting the drywall. Once all the inside building and painting work was complete we screeded the floors in the new kitchen, dining area, living area, passage, laundry, and study/knitting room. Once the screed was dry we lay beautiful warm wood vinyl.

While the flooring was being done we built up a small entrance wall with a window and sandblasted vinyl with the house number on as well as installed new led downlights along the front of the house on a day/night sensor. The front of the house was painted “Battleship Grey” New aluminium window installed above the sink as well as removing the tiled window sills and plastering them to finish off the modern upgrade on the front of the house. The front door was painted yellow for a pop of colour.

New 96mm skirtings were installed to marry the walls and new vinyl floors. Spray painted Satin White.

Once all the work was done the new kitchen was installed. SupaGloss Iceberg White cabinets with solid black handles on all the doors and cup handles on the drawers. Pot drawers, huge corner grocery cupboard, eye level corner oven with gas hob in the centre of the two. Beautiful cooker hood above the gas hob. Quartz countertops were installed to finish off this incredible kitchen and a massive upgrade to this family home.
